# Expert Tips:

01 -
  • It tastes nothing like punishment, despite being genuinely good for you—zesty and refreshing in a way that makes you want another sip.
  • You can make it in ten minutes flat, no cooking required, which means you can actually commit to drinking something nourishing on a busy morning.
  • The ginger-lemon combo wakes up your whole mouth, and you'll notice how different you feel within an hour of drinking it.
02 -
  • If your juice tastes bitter or slightly metallic, it's probably because your greens oxidized or your ginger was too much—I learned to use ginger sparingly at first and taste as I go instead of dumping in a whole piece.
  • A cheap juicer will spray green liquid everywhere and make you regret the whole decision; if you're going to do this regularly, the mess factor matters as much as the taste does.
03 -
  • Cut your produce the night before and store it in airtight containers, but juice everything fresh in the morning—prep time and juice time are two different things.
  • If your juice tastes too earthy or strong, add a handful of fresh mint or a slice of pineapple next time; sometimes the secret to loving something is just one small adjustment.
